Every day, millions of plastic bottles are produced to hold shampoo, conditioner, hand soaps, sanitizers, lip balms, dish detergent and deodorants...and many, many more products. Personal care products are a big culprit for such wasteful packaging. My grandparents did not grow-up with plastics. My parents were starting a family during the plastics boom of the 50s and 60s, yet still were not under the spell of these petroleum-based products. But my generation and yours--well we've been reared on a steady diet of one-time use plastics, cellophane and wrappings for everything. But you've seen the reports about the dangerous rise and toxicity of plastics. While they have been useful for industry and scientific advances, they have also depleted our resources and invaded every environment on the planet. This stuff is not biodegradable and is wreaking havoc on all parts of our eco-system. We all need to take a serious look at what we are doing. Each of us needs to commit to change. We, here at Do Good Soaps and Suds, want to help everyone give up the bottle (the plastics) and go to the bar. Yes, it may be tough, but we're in this together. And Do Good Soaps and Suds is here to make it an easier transition. Are you committed to change? Well get ready for some good, good stuff...because we only use the best ingredients here--no detergents, no preservatives, no unpronouncable chemicals and no plastics!
